Dali brief introduction

Dali is a county-level city in the seat of the Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, northwestern Yunnan province of Southwest China. It is surrounded by mountains on three sides and has the Erhai Lake in its center. Beautiful sceneries and ethnic customs will offer you an unforgettable experience.

Situated in the plateau, Dali features mild climate. There are distinct dry seasons and wet seasons, with small difference temperature of four seasons.

Located to the west of Erhai Lake, Mt. Cangshan has an average altitude of 3,500 meters (11,483 feet) with snow on its top. It is composed of nineteen peaks lining up from north to south.

Erhai has an area of about 250 square kilometers (97 square miles), surrounded by Yuanshan on the east. It boasts stunning views, enjoying the fame "a pearl on the plateau". Since ancient times, many scholars and poet have left articles to praise its beauty.
