Food and drinking in China

Food
A trip to China without tasting local dishes is not complete. Food is important to people, as you may sense it from a colloquial greeting like ' have you eaten yet ?

But you need to be careful when eating anything you're unused to. To make sure you enjoy your trip culinary to China, we come up with some helpful tips as below for your reference.

It would be a shame if you skipped out on street food snacks in China. It's really something to be tasted. But you'd better passed those street stalls which look filthy. And don't try the food that looks like it's been standing out for a while. You may also avoid snacks that include something raw or any meat snacks in sweltering summer. If some street stall is crowded with local people, it's a good sign that the stall has a good reputation and worth trying.

All restaurants arranged for your tour schedule are well selected by us with high hygiene standards. If you have an extremely sensitive stomach or any special requirements on food, let us be informed in advance. We will arrange accordingly for you.

Drinking
Tap water in China needed to be boiled before drinking. Tap water throughout the country (even in 5-star hotels) is not safe for drinking. Most hotels ( 3 - 5star ) will provide one or two free bottled water per day for drinking and brushing teeth. If not, bottled water can be easily purchased in nearby convenience stores. Famous brands includes Nongfu Spring, Nestle, Watson's, Robust, and Wahaha.
