Recommended China Tour Routes
Shanghai As the most prosperous city of China, There are some fabulous attractions in Shanghai. I took a Shanghai tour in September of 2009. After the Shanghai trip, i input the trip to my computer and share with you.
Sep.10: When we arrived at Shanghai, it was afternoon already. We took a walk along the Nanjing East Street until reaching the Bund of Shanghai. At night, the bund was very impressive, especially in the vicinity of Oriental Pearl TV Tower. It was established in 1994, is the highest tower in Asia with an altitude of 468 meters. Its unique design combining with blue sea and sky makes it very beautiful. If it is the time of festival, you can meet show of fireworks.
Sep.11: Had a visit to the Chenghuang Temple, buy some specialties and have some delicious snacks. Spent the rest of time on walking along the street or go to some malls for shopping.
Sep.12: Took a tour to Xitang (Zhouzhuang village also a good choice). You can buy the tickets to Xitang in the Shanghai Tour Center. Xitang is a scenery town not far from Shanghai.
Sep.13. This is a free day. I visited the Stadium on my own. You can take subway line one to the station of Stadium and ask local people for details. There are many buses can take you to the cities close to Shanghai.
Sep.14. Visted Suzhou with a bus tour to taste its Chinese elegant beauty. Train is a good choice if you want to visit Suzhou on your own. You can take train to get there in more than one hour. There are two railway stations, one is the Shanghai Railway Station connected with Subway Line One. Another is the Shanghai Southern Railway Station connected with Subway Line One as well. The trip to Suzhou will take you one day. The Suzhou bus tour is very nice. Excellet guide with good lunch. :) Suzhou is 1 and half hours driving from Shanghai, personally, i do not suggut to visit the city one your own from Shanghai.
Sep.15. In addition to the historical attraction and scenic beauty, there are some modern technical facilities for recommendation. Today, i want to see some new building and places of Shanghai. Such as the Museum of Technology and the Aquarium. I took subway line two and get off at the Century Park station. The trip to museums will give you a day full of knowledge. LoL...
Sep.16. I did a final shopping along the Nanjing Western Road. Tommorrow, i will fly back to Singapore.
I will be back again. Shanghai, an amazing City.
