Best Season to Visit China
China is a vast country with diverse climatic conditions, generally divided into following regions: north and northeast, northwest, central, south and Tibet.
Winter in the north of China is very cold and windy from Nov/Dec to Mar. Compared with the north, it is rather enjoyable for the south, especially the central and southern parts, such as the Hainan, Yunnan, Sichuan, Guangdong, Hongkong and etc.
North China in summer is hot and dry, especially for the northwest. As for the south part of China, it can be hotter and more humid, such as the so-called 'three furnaces'-Wuhan, Chongqing and Nanjing.
Tibet is more like a place where you will experience all four seasons within one day. Temperatures can easily be below zero in early morning and late evening, and can be very hot at midday, but it can be very cool in the shade.
Despite all the information, the decision about when to visit China should depends on which city you are planning to visit or what type of weather you will enjoy most. As we all know, tastes differ. Winter in Ha'erbin, the northeastern city in China, may be miserable for someone, but can still be a wonderful destination for ice-sculpture-lovers. Moreover, autumn is the most pleasant season for a travel to Beijing, while winter may be enjoyable for Hainan sightseeing. It's not quite true to all visitors that spring (March to May) and autumn (September to early November) is the best time for travelling around China.
Thus, travelling to China can be very enjoyable experience as long as you make a good selection on the season and prepared well for the season you choose.
